Arya College lifts trophy for 11th time at Inter-Zonal Festival

Over three days, around 2,000 participants from nearly 300 colleges enthralled the audience with their talent in 42 different events. The host institution, Arya PG College, lifted the overall trophy for the eleventh consecutive time in the university’s inter-zonal competition.
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda attended the valedictory function as chief guest and presented awards to the winners. Addressing the gathering, special guest SP Bansal, Chancellor of Geeta University, Panipat, lauded the college’s achievements, stating that “Arya College today offers facilities comparable to a university in every field.”
In the Group Dance (General) category, Arya PG College, Panipat, bagged the first position, followed by SD College, Ambala Cantt and Government Post Graduate College, Panchkula. In Solo Dance (Male), Kurukshetra University Campus secured first place, while SD College, Panipat, and Arya PG College, Panipat, stood second and third, respectively.
In the Haryanvi Orchestra, Arya PG College, Panipat, claimed first position, followed by SD College, Panipat, and Government College, Naraingarh. The college also took first place in Mimicry and Haryanvi Song, while RK SD College, Kaithal, and SD College, Panipat, were the runners-up in both events.
In the One-Act Play, Arya PG College, Panipat, stood first, followed by DAV College, Karnal, and SD College, Ambala Cantt. Aryan, a student of Arya PG College, was adjudged Best Actor, while Shahnawaz of BR Ambedkar Government College, Kaithal, came second.
In the Hindi Debate, Government College, Ambala Cantt, representing the opposition, won first place, with Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Karnal, and Arya PG College, Panipat, securing second and third places, respectively. In the English Debate, SD College, Ambala Cantt, took the top spot, while Arya PG College, Panipat, and Government College, Ambala Cantt, followed.
Other notable results included Arya PG College topping Group Song (Haryanvi) and Western Instrumental Solo categories. IB College, Panipat, bagged first position in Western Vocal Solo, and Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Karnal, took first place in Elocution (Hindi).
Principal Dr Jagdish Gupta said, “For the first time in 70 years, the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival was hosted at Arya College, and we made every possible effort to make it a grand success.”
