Haryana government has decided to keep all schools and colleges in the state closed till January 26—a development as Covid-19 cases rise exponentially fuelled by the highly transmissible Omicron variant.

Education Minister Kanwar Pal said online classes will continue, allowing schools and colleges to focus on helping students prepare for upcoming examinations. 

Schools and colleges were closed for their winter break from January 3 to 12, 2022.
