The constituencies of Sirsa, Dabwali and Rania will see a fresh wave of competition as Arjun Chautala and Digvijay Chautala from the Chautala family, Gokul Setia from the Setia family and Dhawal Kanda from the Kanda family will step into the fray. Arjun Chautala, son of Abhay Chautala, is set to make his debut in the Vidhan Sabha elections from the Rania constituency. His entry into the race has generated considerable excitement and is expected to bring a new dynamic to the electoral contest. As a newcomer, Arjun is set to clash with his granduncle and Haryana Energy and Jails Minister Ranjit Singh, who is a brother of Om Prakash Chautala. In Dabwali, the race is equally intense. In Sirsa, Gokul Setia is making a strong bid against the current MLA, Gopal Kanda. Setia, who is representing the Congress, brings with him the legacy of his grandfather, Lachhman Das Arora. Arora was a long-serving Congress leader and held multiple terms as an MLA and minister. Setia’s campaign, supported by various local leaders, aims to challenge Kanda’s entrenched position in the region. Adding to the political dynamics, Dhawal Kanda, nephew of Sirsa MLA Gopal Kanda, and son of BJP leader Gobind Kanda, is preparing for his first election. Recently announced by Gopal Kanda, Dhawal will contest from Rania on an HLP ticket. If successful, Dhawal will become the third member of the Kanda family to run for elections, following his uncle Gopal and his father Gobind. With these young leaders stepping into the political arena, the upcoming elections in Sirsa are set to be a significant event.
