Ayush Dept organises final rehearsal at Sirsa stadium

Preparations in Sirsa are underway with great enthusiasm ahead of the 11th International Yoga Day, to be celebrated across the district on Saturday (June 21). The main event will be held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium, Sirsa. The event will begin at 6 am, and Rajya Sabha member Kiran Chaudhary will be the chief guest.

Yoga Day programmes will also be organised at different sub-division and block levels.

In Dabwali, Rajya Sabha member Rekha Sharma will attend the event at Anaj Mandi, while Dr KC Sharma will join the event in Rania.

Similar programmes will be held at Ellenabad, Kalanwali, Baragudha, and Nathusari Chapta, and will witness the participation of local officials such as SDMs, CTMs, and Tehsildars. To prepare for the day, a final rehearsal was held on Friday at the Sirsa stadium.

It was organised by the Haryana Yoga Commission and the Ayush Department.

District Council CEO Dr Subhash Chandra was the chief guest at the event.

Many school students, athletes, government officials, and other area residents took part in the rehearsals.

Dr Chandra spoke about the benefits of yoga, stating that it helped people live a healthy life and stay connected to their culture. He encouraged everyone in the district to participate in the activities. The rehearsals included a yoga practice session. CMO Dr MK Bhadu, District Ayurvedic Officer Dr Rajkumar, and Yoga Coordinator Dr Surendra Pal Nagar were among those present at the event.
