A confrontation took place among Bajrang Dal activists, police and dairy operators in response to a protest aimed at removing stray cattle from the city’s main roads. The activists, who had previously issued a 10-day ultimatum to the administration to address the issue, were trying to take the cattle to the Deputy Commissioner’s office to demand their relocation to cow shelters.

Bajrang Dal’s regional leader Surendra Poonia said stray cattle posed a public safety risk, leading to frequent accidents. He criticised the government for collecting tolls without providing adequate safety measures.

The activists were met with resistance near the DC office, where security personnel and dairy operators allegedly attacked them. Bajrang Dal members claim they were beaten with sticks and some had their mobile phones and cash stolen. Following the incident, the activists gathered at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, recited the Hanuman Chalisa, and demanded action. Poonia warned that if the stray cattle issue was not resolved within three days, Bajrang Dal would take matters into their own hands and relocate the animals to the cow shelters.
