Bhoria takes over as Rohtak SP

Surinder Singh Bhoria, an IPS officer of the 2014 batch, assumed charge as SP, Rohtak, today. Bhoria was earlier posted as the Commandant of the 5th Battalion at HAP, Madhuban, and SP, Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau.

Prior to that, he has held the posts of SP at Yamunanagar, Ambala and Kurukshetra. Listing his priorities, he said the major functions of the police were to maintain law and order, prevent crime and take legal action against criminals.

"No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Anyone who acts against the law will face the strictest legal action. Rohtak police will make tireless efforts to curb crime and solve criminal incidents as quickly as possible. In addition, appropriate steps will be taken to address traffic problems, illegal sale of drugs, and other illegal trades," he said, adding that efforts would also be made to effectively resolve people's complaints.
