The police spokesperson said the investigation into the matter began on October 22, when the Special Staff team, led by sub-inspector Dilbag Singh, received a tip-off about narcotics being hidden in a room of a farm at Nimli village in Charkhi Dadri district. On raiding the site, the police seized 3.370 kg of opium and 5.670 kg of charas. The room belonged to Pradeep, who fled the scene at the time of the raid.

Pradeep was arrested on December 8, who is in police custody after court remanded him to the police for interrogation for nine days. During interrogation, he revealed connections with suppliers in Bihar. Acting on his tip-off, the police arrested Izhar Alam, a supplier residing in Jakhoda village in Jhajjar on December 10.

The police spokesperson said Gesul Miyan was being interrogated to uncover further links in the narcotics supply chain. Police officials are hopeful that these arrests will disrupt a significant portion of the drug network in the region.
