Two bike-borne youths snatched a mobile phone from a student near Government National College, Sirsa. The Civil Lines Police Station has registered a case based on the student’s complaint and launched an investigation.

Rachna, a resident of Kheowali village, is pursuing LLB from Chaudhary Devi Lal University in Sirsa. She travels by bus every day to attend classes.

In her statement to the police, Rachna said the incident occurred on Tuesday evening while she was heading home. As she reached Barnala Road near the Government National College, two youths approached her on a bike and snatcher her phone from her hand. Despite her cries for help, the culprits fled before anyone could intervene.

Rachna immediately called the police, who arrived at the scene to investigate. An FIR has been filed against the unidentified assailants. The police said they were working to identify and apprehend the accused.
