Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today accused the BJP government of cheating 1.20 lakh temporary employees by not fulfilling its promise of regularising their services.

“Till date, not a single employee has received the letter of job security. After the formation of the Congress government in the state, the temporary employees recruited under the Haryana Rozgar Kaushal Nigam will be given job security and salary hikes,” claimed Hooda, addressing public meetings in Rewari and Mahendragarh districts.

He had visited the two districts to participate in the nomination filing ceremony of Congress MLAs Chiranjeev Rao (Rewari) and Rao Dan Singh (Mahendragarh). Later, Rao organised a road show in the city before filing his nomination papers.

In Rewari, Hooda, accompanied by former minister and national president of the Congress’s OBC department Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said the BJP government made false promises and harassed every section of society, leading to resentment among people, who had made up their mind to bring the Congress back into power.

“The Congress government will also give pension of Rs 6,000 to the elderly, 2 lakh permanent jobs on the basis of merit and qualification to youth, LPG cylinders for Rs 500 and 300 units of free electricity. The recruitments that were put on hold by the BJP government will be completed and 1 lakh jobs will be given within the first year of the formation of the government,” claimed the Congress stalwart.

Hooda said, “Chiranjeev is very dear to me. That is why I have first come to file his nomination in the state. He is a strong candidate and has always raised the voice of the people of the area. He will play his role very well in future as well.”
