BJP curbed corrupt practices through digitisation: Gurjar

Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar today said that the BJP government has curbed corrupt practices through digitisation and the party has a target to make India a developed nation by 2047.

The minister was in Ambala as part of the party’s ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ programme to mark 11 years of the Modi government.

The minister, while speaking to mediapersons, said, “Before 2014, corruption and scams were rampant in the country, but the incumbent government curbed scams and corruption through digitisation. Beneficiaries of government schemes get the amount directly into their bank accounts through online process. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is becoming a world leader. The face of politics has changed. Today, every citizen of the country is seeing changes in the country. The Prime Minister has set a target to make India a developed nation by 2047 and the government has a vision for the next 50 years.”

The minister mentioned various government schemes and policies and said the government has been working with the spirit of ‘sabka saath’ and ‘sabka vikas’. There is a responsible, accountable and transparent government at the Centre, he said.

Later, Gurjar held a meeting with BJP leaders, including mandal presidents and party’s district office-bearers at the party office. BJP district chief Mandeep Rana, former MLA Pawan Saini, state vice-president Banto Kataria, party’s spokesperson Dr Sanjay Sharma and several other party leaders and workers were present.

At the ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ programme in Kurukshetra, state Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said, “The National Education Policy has been implemented and new curriculum is being developed to equip students to face challenges effectively. Skill-based education will play a crucial role in India's development.”

Replying to media queries, the Education Minister said, “Action will be taken against private educational institutions for violation of rules. It has come to notice that students are attending coaching institutes during school hours. The schools giving admissions to non-attending students will face action. All efforts are being made to improve the infrastructure and enhance the standard of education in government schools.”

To a query, he said “About 90 per cent of people don’t understand the English language. Hence, directions have been issued to the Education Department to use Hindi language to communicate so that people can easily understand the documents.”

Former Minister of State Subhash Sudha, BJP district president Tejender Singh, Zila Parishad chairperson Kanwaljeet Kaur and several BJP leaders were present on this occasion.
