Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev, and several BJP leaders were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said, “Today, there is no district in the state that is not connected by a National Highway. All districts of the state are connected by some or other highways. The time taken to travel from one corner of the state to another has reduced considerably due to good roads. Flights have started from the international airport in Hisar and in future their numbers will increase. This will accelerate development of the state. Haryana will get its own identity across the country.”

The CM also highlighted government schemes and initiatives taken in the health, education and agriculture sectors. Later the CM, while inaugurating an Inland Container Depot (ICD) established by a Dubai-based company at Dhirpur in Kurukshetra, said, “The day is not far when Haryana will emerge as a new power in the field of logistics and supply chain.”

He said, “The ICD here will prove to be a milestone in the creation of a developed India and developed Haryana. This will increase prosperity of farmers, entrepreneurs and traders of the state and provide new employment opportunities to our youth. An investment by Dubai’s Sharaf Group in Haryana reflects deep faith in our economic policies and business-friendly environment here, which is also a symbol of strengthening economic relations between India and the United Arab Emirates.”

“This ICD project is a stamp of our simple policies and go-global approach in logistics and economic sector in Haryana. Going beyond the ease of doing business, we are taking effective steps to reduce business cost of entrepreneurs. Through the Foreign Cooperation Department not only guidance and help is being given to entrepreneurs, but skilled human resources are also being made available to work in the country and abroad,” he said.

The Chief Minister said there was a time when such modern facilities were limited only to big metros like Delhi-Mumbai. Now here too, modern facilities from custom clearance to warehousing and cold storage would be available at one place. He said, “This will further promote ease of doing business and create new opportunities for investment in Haryana.” — TNS
