A renowned businessman and leader of the Punjab community, Kapoor attended the public meeting addressed by former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda here on Tuesday. He has announced support for Congress candidate Vijay Pratap Singh from Badkhal seat. However, Danesh Adlakha, BJP candidate from this segment, said Kapoor’s resignation will have no impact on his chances of getting elected from Badkhal as it is considered to be a vote bank of the Punjabi community. The BJP has replaced outgoing MLA Seema Trikha, who had been appointed as Cabinet Minister in the Naib Singh Saini government in June.
