Targeting a landslide victory in Bihar, the BJP is selling the Gurugram-Faridabad model to voters, promising better employment opportunities in the twin NCR cities. Since both districts account for the maximum number of migrant population in the NCR, the party has put all MLAs of the area on duty in Bihar to woo voters.

The party has constituted a team of 10 star campaigners led by CM Nayab Saini, which includes Badshahpur MLA and Industry Minister Rao Narbir, ULB Minister Vipul Goel, Union MoS Krishan Pal Gujjar, state minister Rajesh Nagar, and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma.

These public representatives are camping in various Bihar districts since over a week now. Saini visited the poll-bound state on October 18 and asked people to choose the party for Haryana-like development.

“Gurugram and Faridabad are providing employment to a large section of migrants from Bihar. We are not just working for the welfare of those settled in our cities, but also are indirectly improving the condition of their households. We met people who told us how after coming to Haryana, specifically to NCR districts, changed their life. They could build homes here, buy farm lands and even get better treatment for elders,” said Faridabad MLA and minister Vipul Goel while speaking to 'The Tribune'.

Rao Narbir said he was campaigning for Nitish Mishra, the Industries Minister of Bihar, and pitching for bringing more industry to Bihar if the BJP came to power. “Haryana is the new development model of the country. Bihar has already come a long way, and if the BJP comes to power, we will collaborate to bring both states on a par in industrial development,” said Narbir.

The party has allocated constituencies to all visiting leaders to manage caste equations as well. While Goel is targeting the Baniya community and Narbir the Yadavs, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma is focusing on Brahmins.

“The BJP has improved the living standards and facilities for migrants from Bihar in Haryana. They are getting education, health and even houses along with secure minimum wages. This is trickling down to Bihar,” said Sharma.
