Sirsa MP Kumari Selja, who is also national general secretary of the Congress, has said there is a wave of change in the state. Both the government and the system will change in Haryana. The government has made a joke of the youth in the name of Agniveer Scheme and has played with their future; if they attain martyrdom, the government does not even give them the status of a martyr, she adds.

Sikh leaders extend support to Congress

  • Former Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) president Amarinder Singh Arora and members of the panel on Sunday announced support to the Congress in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Selja was addressing a gathering during the “Congress Sandesh Yatra” in Narnaul town here today. Sudha Bhardwaj, state president of the Mahila Congress, honoured her by presenting her a scarf while Ram Singh presented her with a large portrait of her father Chaudhry Dalbir Singh. The women garlanded her with flowers.

On the occasion, Alka Lamba, national president of Mahila Congress, Congress working president Ramkishan Gujjar, MLAs Pradeep Chaudhary and Shamsher Singh Gogi, former minister Attar Singh Saini, former MLA Randhir Singh Dheera, former MLA Jagjit Singh Sangwan and former MLA Mahendra Singh were among those present.
