The BJP seems to have ‘mollified’ Independent MLA Nayan Pal Rawat, who had earlier hinted at withdrawal of support to the BJP government.

Sources said Rawat along with Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta met Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini last night.

Following a meeting with the Chief Minister, Rawat said he would continue to support the BJP-led government. The Chief Minister reportedly assured him that his grievances with regard to the working of certain officials would be redressed.

Miffed at the working of the Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government, Rawat, an MLA from Prithla in Faridabad district, had hinted at withdrawal of support to the government.

Rawat, who is supporting the BJP government from outside, was reportedly not happy with the working of the state government, especially the bureaucracy. He has gone on record alleging that the administrative officials were in league with the opposition parties.
