Senior party leaders and Members of Parliament (MPs) on Thursday campaigned in support of BJP-JJP coalition mayoral candidate Lalit Batra and ward candidates seeking vote for them.

MP Kurukshetra Naib Singh Saini, MP Karnal Sanjay Bhatia, MP Sonepat Ramesh Kaushik, MP Rohtak Arvind Sharma, district president and MLA Rai Mohan Lal Badoli along with other leaders addressed the gathering at around 18 places in the city.

Kaushik said that the people of Sonepat would defeat the Congress candidate in the civic polls just like they did in the parliamentary elections while Bhatia claimed that the situation is now in the favour of BJP-JJP coalition candidates and people have decided to vote for the BJP-JJP candidate on December 27.
