A ‘Run for Unity’ will be organised in Yamunanagar district on October 31.
BJP District President Rajesh Sapra said a meeting was held regarding the preparations for celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
He said meeting was attended by Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar, former Sadhaura MLA Balwant Singh, district BBJYM president Nischal Chaudhary, district coordinator of Sardar Patel’s 150th Birth Anniversary Campaign Sandeep Gurjar and BJP district media in-charge Kapil Manish Garg.
Kanwar Pal Gujjar said on Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, a floral tribute would be offered and a pledge would be taken for the unity and integrity of the country.
He said people would be encouraged to take a pledge for a self-reliant India.
Gujjar added that Sardar Patel played a key role in the country’s struggle for independence and later served as first Home Minister.
