The BJP has replaced six of its district presidents ahead of the Assembly elections in the state. The party, however, has tried to placate those who have faced the axe by adjusting them in the state executive committee.

The state president, Mohan Lal Badoli, has replaced the presidents of the district’s units of Hisar, Sirsa, Jind, Rewari, Kurukshetra and Kaithal. In Hisar, Asha Khedar was replaced by Ashok Saini while Shishpal Kamboj replaced Nitasha Sihag as the president of Sirsa district. In Jind, Raju Mor has been replaced by Tejender Dhull.

Similarly, Vandana Popli is now the district head of Rewari, while Sunil Rana and Munish Katwar are new district presidents in Kurukshetra and Kaithal, respectively.

According to sources, the districts presidents of Sirsa, Hisar and Jind had landed in a controversy soon after the Lok Sabha poll results were out as party candidates in the Sirsa, Hisar and Sonepat Lok Sabha segments had pointed fingers at some leaders in these districts.

The party candidate of Sirsa, Ashok Tanwar, and Hisar’s Ranjit Singh had submitted reports to the party leaders about the negative role of some leaders and also expressed their resentment over poor poll campaigning.

State president Badoli, who was the party candidate for the Sonepat Lok Sabha constituency, had also held a press conference in Jind and cast aspersions on some party leaders.
