Former Haryana minister and BJP candidate from Tohana, Devender Babli, lashed out at party members who didn’t support him after his election defeat, calling them “traitors.” He accused them of deliberately hindering the development of the region.

Babli was addressing a press conference at his residence on Wednesday. Notably, throughout the campaign, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala was absent from election rallies, even skipping events featuring Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Says party likely to take action

His absence was due to an accident two days before Shah’s visit. Addressing his loss, Babli stated that internal betrayals and certain issues played a role in his defeat, but he said the party was aware of these matters and was likely to take action.

He criticised those who, despite claiming loyalty to the party, “stabbed it in the back.” Babli accused his detractors of damaging Tohana’s image and indulging in criminal activities against the community, warning them that despite their efforts, over 78,000 voters still supported him.
