A delegation of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Charuni) today met Haryana Agriculture Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar at the PWD rest house in Chhachhrauli. The farmers handed over a memorandum to the minister demanding the construction of a ‘kisan bhawan’ in the district. Led by BKU district president Sanju Gundiana, the delegation said ‘kisan bhawans’ had been constructed in almost all districts barring Yamunanagar. “The minister assured us of a positive outcome,” said Gundiana. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
