BKU (Charuni) district spokesperson Jagdeep Lamba has lodged a police complaint against Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar over his remarks the BJP’s kisan morcha meeting at the latter’s residence in Chandigarh.

Lamba, a resident of the district’s Kinala village, said in a viral video, the CM was heard urging the BJP workers during the kisan morcha meeting to form a group against the farmers and pick up sticks against them. He said the video had now been deleted from the YouTube link created in the name of Manohar Lal.

The BKU spokesperson said there was a lot of anger among the farmers over his statement. Terming it as illegal, Lamba gave a written complaint to the Hisar SP and demanded legal action against the CM, his media adviser and other officials concerned for allegedly inciting riots, spreading cyber terrorism, threatening to kill farmers and destroying evidence.

The police, however, have not taken any action so far.
