A two-day Block-Level School Sports Competition for Boys (Under-11 and Under-14) concluded in Bhiwani’s Bhim stadium on Monday.

Sharing the details, the Block Education Officer (BEO) Anil Gaur while addressing the participants on concluding day said young athletes should stick to discipline which was important not only in sports but in life as well. He urged the participants to uphold discipline and sportsmanship.

The event was organised by the Education Department. Both Olympics and non-Olympic sports disciplines were included in the competition. Events such as hockey, football, cricket, archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, gymnastics, handball, judo, swimming, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, baseball, kabaddi, chess, netball, skating, yoga, carrom, and tug of war were conducted.

The Physical Training Instructor (PTI), Vinod Pinku, said the block-level sports competitions for girls in the under-17 and under-19 age groups would commence on Monday in Bhiwani.
