Ishwar Singh Malwal, Chairman, Mati Kala Board, Haryana, was killed in a road mishap near Lakhan Majra, Rohtak, on Saturday.

His car collided with a truck on the Gohana-Meham road near Bainsi village. A police team reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy.

Malwal, who was earlier with the Congress, joined the BJP in 2019 and was made chairman in 2023.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed grief at his demise.23

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
