Board exams: 7 held from Sonepat village for making slips

The special flying squad of the Haryana School Education Board's secretary, along with the police, has nabbed seven persons, including three women, from a house at Shamri village in Gohana area of Sonepat district for allegedly making slips for Class X students taking the Hindi board paper.

The team also seized suspicious material related to board exams from their possession. The police have arrested the accused and started a probe into the matter.

As per information, the flying squad of board secretary Munish Nagpal, led by Rakesh Kumar, inspected an exam centre at Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Shamri village.

The squad received a tip-off about people involved in making slips at a house near the centre. The team raided the house and seized a notebook with the seating plan of students, including their names, roll numbers and set code of the question papers.

The board team also called the police on the spot and gave a written complaint.

Gohana ACP Rishikant said a case had been registered against the accused, who had been arrested.

As per a press note issued by the board, three supervisors at the village centre  and two from the centre at Government Girls High School in Bichpadi village had been removed.
