Angered over the drowning of an eight-year-old boy in a drain, residents of Gadoli Khurd village blocked the Gurugram-Pataudi road and sat on a dharna on the roadside today.

Though the search operation was on, the boy was not found even 24 hours after the incident.

Senior administration officials and police officials reached the spot where villagers surrounded them and demanded immediate covering of the drain and recovery of the child.

Due to the road blockade, traffic was diverted from the Umang Bhardwaj chowk and ahead of Gadoli Khurd village.
