A three-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed after a pickup truck ran over him outside vegetable market in Shahabad on Monday. The deceased was identified as Jasbir. The accused driver managed to flee from the spot.

As per the information, the boy had gone with her grandmother to buy vegetable. As they reached at the gate of the vegetable market, a speeding pickup truck hit the boy. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. The in-charge, HUDA police post, said a case had been registered and the accused driver was yet to be arrested. —
