Boys shine in inter-PM Shri schools’ sports meet

On the second day of the District-level inter-PM Shri Schools sports meet, at least 250 boys across the state competed in various events including 100 metre, 200 metre, and 400 metre races, 4x100 metre relay, shot put, long jump, high jump and discus throw at Karna Stadium here on Thursday. The sports meet is also the selection trial for the upcoming state-level sports competition, which is scheduled on February 10 and 11, in Karnal.

In under-14 boys’ 100 metre race, Gopal of PM Shri Kohand secured first position, while Deepanshu of PM Shri Munak got second and Jagvinder Singh of PM Shri Kutail remained at the third position. In the 200 metre race, Amarchand of PM Shri Nilokheri, Samar of PM Shri Indri and Lucky of PM Shri Assandh won first, second and third prize, respectively.

In the 400 metre race, Vikas of PM Shri Kohand secured first position, while Aman of PM Shri Nilokheri remained at second place and Nitin of PM Shri Munak got third position. In the 4x100 metre relay race, PM Shri Kohand won first prize, while PM Shri Kutail secured second and PM Shri Chochra bagged third position.

In long jump competition, Jeevan of PM Shri Munak got first position, while Prince of PM Shri Agondh village won second and Harsh of PM Shri Kohand remained at the third place.

In high jump, Lalit Kumar of PM Shri Assandh secured first position, while Sawan of PM Shri Kunjpura got second position and Ashish of PM Shri Munak bagged third position. In shot put, Sonu of PM Shri Garhibirbal, Prabhjot of PM Shri Prem Nagar, and Naman of PM Shri Kutail won first, second and third positions, respectively. In discus throw, Sunderpal of PM Shri Munak, Paras of PM Shri Kutail and Suryanshu of PM Shri Badagaon won first, second and third positions, respectively.
