The Gurugram police have arrested a miscreant dentified as Subhash, alias Bhasha, after a brief encounter, local police officials confirmed today. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the crime branch blocked the southern peripheral road to Shikohpur. The criminal started firing at the cops and was hurt in the retaliatory firing. A case under various sections of the Arms Act and the Bhartiya Nayaya Sanhita was registered against him.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
