New Delhi: The Delhi Police conducted a mock drill at Connaught Place on Sunday. The simulated scenario involved an unclaimed bag. Following the mock drill, the Delhi Police crime team, bomb squad, and the Fire Department officials reached the spot. DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla declined to make specific comments regarding security concerns in the wake of the Bangalore café blast. But he emphasised the city’s heightened sensitivity as the Capital. ANI

Delhi wakes up to light rain

New Delhi: Delhi residents woke up to light rain on Sunday. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 26.2°C while the minimum temperature settled at 13.7°C, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The city is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of more rain or drizzle, the IMD said. Besides, thunderstorm with light-to-moderate intensity rain may occur over isolated places of Delhi, the IMD said.
