Yamunanagar: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly performing tantric rituals on a funeral pyre in Yamunanagar district. On the complaint of Bharat Lal of Bahadarpur village, a case was registered against unknown persons under Section 301 of the BNS at Jathlana police station on July 29. The complainant said his father Ajmer (84) died after a brief illness on July 1. He said that after performing his father’s last rites, he found that a tantric ritual had been done at the cremation ground next morning by sacrificing a bird. He added that 2-3 kg flour was also found at the spot of the funeral pyre. Jathlana police said that a man and his son were arrested in this case. TNS

MoS to inaugurate Khel Mahakumbh
