Broken roads make commuting difficult for residents in Sonepat

Incessant rains have damaged city roads.
The MLA, along with Deputy Commissioner Sushil Kumar Sarwan, also held a meeting with the engineering wing officials, and directed them to start development works in the city. The residents in Sonepat city face a lot of problems due to potholed roads. Though the Municipal Corporation (MC) carried out patch work on roads just before the onset of rains, all internal and outer stretches of the city got badly damaged due to heavy downpour and waterlogging . Main entry road of Sector 15, Geeta Bhawan road, Old DC road, Sector 14 internal and main roads, main Rohtak road , Kachequarter road and Eight marla road are teeming with potholes.
At the meeting, Madaan discussed invitation of tender for the repair works, granting no objection certificate (NOC) and removing encroachments. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) directed officials to complete the repair work within a set time frame while ensuring quality. He further directed officials to initiate strict action against encroachers in the city. He told officials to resolve the traffic snarls issue at the Bahalgarh chowk and in other parts of the city.
Harshit Kumar, MC Commissioner, Dr Anmol, CTM, Meetu Dhankar, Joint Commissioner and other officials were also present at the meeting.
