“It is all of our responsibility to get the best ranking for the municipal corporation in the survey. For this, one should not use banned single-use plastic items. While buying goods from the market, everyone should carry a cloth bag with them,” he added.

The Sanitation Inspector said people should separate dry and wet household waste and only dispose of it through municipal corporation garbage collection vehicles. “If people spot garbage anywhere in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri, they should complain about it on the MC WhatsApp number (7082410524), Swachh App and other mobile applications set up in this regard,” Kamboj said.

He said, on this occasion, everyone pledged that they would cooperate to get the best ranking for the district in the survey. Social organisation Ek Soch Nayi Soch founder Shashi Gupta called upon staff members to get the best ranking for the municipal corporation.

Swachh Bharat Mission Activity Expert Pooja was among the officials present at the awareness programme.
