The forthcoming Budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha is set to be ‘paperless’ as Speaker Gian Chand Gupta today fixed a 45-day deadline for execution of the project. A meeting of various stakeholders, including officials of the Public Works Department, the National Informatics Centre and the National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated, was held here today to review the progress of the project.

Gupta said the detailed project report of the project had already been approved. A two-day workshop started today to train the Vidhan Sabha staff. A training programme for legislators would be organised soon, he said.

Gupta said the NICSI, a government department providing IT solutions, would help the Vidhan Sabha go ‘paperless’ in the next three years.

Recently, a team of the Vidhan Sabha had toured Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh to study the workings of the ‘paperless’ proceedings in the states. — TNS
