“Ever since Saini took over as Chief Minister, he has been travelling in his ‘udan khatola’ and doesn't come down... all MLAs, MPs and ministers are saying this,” Vij said in a statement issued at Ambala Cantonment
Vij claimed a big leader of the party had tried to ensure his defeat in the recently held Assembly elections. He even claimed that there was an attempt to kill him.
Vij said he had asked for shifting of officials who had worked against him in the Assembly election, but 100 days had passed and no action was taken. He added that he had now full belief that a big leader was behind it.
On Thursday, Vij had warned to start an indefinite fast, like farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, to get public work done.
A seven-time MLA and a senior BJP leader, Anil Vij had expressed his frustration regarding the non-compliance of his orders. “The officials don’t follow the orders and don’t work as per our instructions. I have stopped holding the weekly Janta Darbar. I have not taken anything from the rest of Haryana, but the people of Ambala Cantonment have elected me seven times, and to get their work done, I will start an agitation, if needed, and sit on fast unto death, like Dallewal,” he had said.
