A freshers’ party was recently organised at Gateway College of Pharmacy, Sonepat, to welcome new students. College administration, faculty and guests from industries and government institutions were among those present at the event. Dr Colonel Amik Garg, director and head, Gateway Educational Institutions; Dr Rahul Sharma, principal (pharmacy); and Dr Vinay Kumar Singhal, principal (engineering); Rakesh Dahiya, senior drug control officer; and Vikas Pruthi, group CFO, Adsila Organics Limited, were present at the event. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a Saraswati Vandana performance. Senior students organised several games and competitions for freshers — including a fashion show, a quiz competition and a talent hunt. The chief guest, Rakesh Dahiya, guided students on career opportunities in the pharmacy and healthcare sectors. The event concluded with a dance and music session.
