Campus Notes: Anti-larval drive at medical college

Panipat: To keep prevent breeding of vectors, a team, comprising Dr Mahender Singh, Dr Kuldeep, Health Inspector Vijay Kumar, Ravinder Singh and Surender, under the guidance of Principal Dr PK Singh, carried out an anti-larval drive on the college campus. Underground and overhead water tanks were covered with lids. Additionally, containers and water coolers were evacuated by the team.

Students excel in Sanskrit exam

Karnal:Students of Dyal Singh College have brought great pride to the institution by excelling in the fourth semester examination of Kurukshetra University. In Sanskrit, students Varsha and Farzana achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a perfect 100 per cent, bringing honour to the college and the entire district. Both students scored 50 out of 50, showcasing their exceptional performance in the subject. Additionally, student Neetu demonstrated her brilliance by securing 49 out of 50 marks. Principal Dr Ashima Gakhar praised the Sanskrit Department, especially Prof Deepak Shastri. She encouraged students to continue excelling in Sanskrit studies in the future. On this occasion, students who participated in various Sanskrit competitions were also awarded, boosting their morale and further increasing their interest in the study of Sanskrit.

National Seminar Brochure released

Mahendergarh: The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, unveiled the brochure for its upcoming one-day ICSSR-sponsored national seminar, scheduled to take place on November 27. The seminar, titled “Women as Catalysts for Economic Development in Punjab and Haryana: A Step Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047”, aims to shed light on the critical role of women in driving economic growth in these regions. During the brochure launch, Vice-Chancellor Prof Tankeshwar Kumar emphasised the contribution of women in fostering economic development.
