A group of students from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak, visited RKSD College, Kaithal, as part of their outreach initiative, to foster academic collaboration and knowledge sharing. One of the key highlights of their visit was their interaction with Principal Sanjay Goyal, discussing college initiatives, industry linkages, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Students were impressed by the vast collection and digital resources in the college library. Engaging sessions were proposed with faculty members so that they could explore potential areas of cooperation. Principal Goyal said, “We welcome IIM Rohtak students and appreciate their interest in our institution. This visit strengthens our commitment to interdisciplinary learning and industry-academia partnerships.” Sharing their views, the visiting students said, “RKSD College’s vibrant atmosphere and resourceful library impressed us. We look forward to future collaborations and knowledge exchange.”

Hand-washing practices taught

Yamunanagar: Rotaract Club Guru Nanak Khalsa College Yamunanagar College organised the project ‘Wash’ in a government secondary school. Under this programme, children were taught the correct hand-washing techniques. Club vice-president Rotaractor Shivam gave information to children about how and when hands should be washed. Children evinced keen interest and also participated in the programme. Club members educated children on how diseases can be avoided by washing hands. Club member Rotaractor Mehak said that the habit of staying clean in children from a young age would help them in the future as children learn very quickly.

Cross-country race organised

Karnal:Annual inter-house cross-country race was held at Dyal Singh Public School, Sector 7, Karnal. Presiding over the event as the chief guest, Principal Shalini Narang, flagged off the race from the school premises amid cheers and enthusiasm. Students from all four Houses displayed unparalleled energy and competitive spirit as they traversed the challenging route, stretching from the school campus to Noor Mahal Chowk and beyond, covering a distance of 2.8 to 4 km. Mrinalini Rawat (junior girls), Prerit Lather (junior boys), Savika Sharma (senior girls) and Chirag (senior boys) emerged victorious in their respective categories. Aravali House claimed the coveted winner’s trophy, earning the overall first position with its commendable performance. Top 10 winners from each category were bestowed with trophies, medals and certificates. The school principal lauded participants for their exemplary efforts and congratulated the winners for their remarkable achievements.
