Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, celebrated the festival of Lohri with great fervour and joy. The event brought together students, faculty and staff, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration on the campus. The festival of Lohri, traditionally a harvest festival, was marked by cultural performances, music and the lighting of the Lohri bonfire. Pratima Sharma, the officiating principal of the college, extended warm wishes to everyone present. She highlighted that Lohri was a festival that signified new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness. “Today, as we celebrate this festival, we also embrace the importance of unity, harmony, and progress in our academic community,” she said. Randeep Singh Jauhar, the president of the governing body and managing committee, highlighted that Lohri brought together people, transcending boundaries and cultures. At Guru Nanak Khalsa College, we celebrate not just the festival, but the spirit of togetherness that it fosters among all members of our institution.

Board of School Edu extends date

Bhiwani: The last date for online application of non-government temporarily recognised school candidates for the secondary and senior secondary annual examinations, February-March 2025, by the Board of School Education Haryana at Bhiwani, earlier fixed as January 14, has now been extended to January 17. Board secretary Ajay Chopra said that online application could be submitted from January 18 to 20 with a late fee of Rs 300 and from January 21 to January 23 with a late fee of Rs 1,000. He said that for online registration of non-government temporarily recognised schools, login on the link given on the Board of Education website, www.bseh.org.in. All necessary guidelines were available on the login ID of the school. He told heads of the concerned schools that the details of the candidates whose online applications are to be filled by them should be correct as per school records. If any kind of error is found in the application form, the school head himself would be responsible., he said. Errors related to photo/signature would not be corrected after the examination starts. He said that for solving any kind of technical problem while applying online, one could contact on helpline number 01664-254300.
