Karnal: A mock drill on fire and lift safety was conducted by the disaster management committee and Red Cross unit at KVA DAV Women’s College. Students, teachers and non-teaching staff members were made aware about the uses of lift and given tips to avoid accidents while using lifts. College principal Meenu Sharma emphasised the importance of having basic knowledge of disaster management to avert mishaps.

2 pupils selected in placement drive

Hisar: Two students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) have been selected in the e-campus placement drive of Jungleworks Private Limited, Chandigarh. The drive was organised by the training and placement cell of the university. The selected students are Pulkit Khanna from BTech (CSE) and Sarvagya Munjal from BTech (IT) courses. Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof Vinod Chhokar, Registrar, congratulated the selected students and wished them a bright future.

6 students bring laurels in Olympiad

Rohtak: Six students of Model School, Sector 4, including Divija, Vrish, Chahak, Vinay, Yash Rohilla and Ujjwal Kadyan, received merit certificates in Green Olympiad, organised in October 2023. Rohtak Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman of Model School Education Society, Ajay Kumar, and school principal Ritu Madan congratulated the students on their achievement.
