Campus Notes: NCC cadets gather for training camp

The 14 Haryana NCC Battalion has commenced its Combined Annual Training Camp 125 at Bilaspur, bringing together 420 cadets, two officers, 15 ANOs, and 8 CTOs under one roof. Col Jarnail Singh, Commanding Officer, and Col Jitender Dahiya, Deputy Commanding Officer, are leading the camp, with SM Shahnaz Hussain overseeing the training. The team from Ambala Group NCC will also undergo rigorous training during the camp. This comprehensive training programme aims at instilling discipline, teamwork and leadership skills in the cadets. The camp will feature a range of activities, including drill, firing and cultural events.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
