Mahendragarh: Central University of Haryana (CUH) conducted a pledge ceremony under ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ on Monday. This programme was organised by the drug eradication cell in coordination with NSS, YRC and DSW office of the university. Vice-Chancellor Prof Tankeshwar Kumar read the pledge, and students, faculty members, HoDs, TICs and deans of different schools and departments took the pledge that they would do make efforts to make their country drug-free. Dr Dinesh Kumar, convener, drug eradication cell said more than 150 students attended the event and took the pledge. Prof Anand Sharma also said such events were necessary to create awareness among the students. Dean (Academic Affair) Prof Sanjiv Kumar, Prof Payal Chandel, Prof Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Prof Surender Singh and Rupesh Deshmukh were also present on this occasion.

Poetry book released

Jhajjar: The annual meeting of the Alumni Association of Government Post Graduate Nehru College was held in the college auditorium. Former principal Khajan Singh Gulia presided over the meeting while Principal Dalbir Singh and Prof Bhup Singh Gulia were the special guests. Colonel Yogendra Singh presented the details of the work undertaken last year. Treasurer Kishan Chahar presented the financial accounts. On the occasion, Praveen Sharma's poetry collection ‘Sadgi Tumhari’ was also released. The stage was conducted by Ravi Kiran Madan. The participating members narrated their memories and emphasised the expansion of the organisation.

Kaithal college student becomes PO

Kaithal: Sonam, a student of BCom of the 2019-22 batch of RKSD College recently got selected as a Probationary Officer (PO) in the Central Bank of India. Principal Sanjay Goyal welcomed and congratulated her while motivating her to further pursue her studies and take a higher goal in her life. HoD (commerce department) Prof Ajay Sharma wished her luck for her future endeavours.
