Bhiwani: Students of media and communication studies of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University visited the District Public Relations office. District Public Relations Officer Sanjiv Saini familiarised them with the role and responsibilities of an information and public relations officer. He said the department was an authentic source of information and acted as a bridge between the government and the public. He also said the Haryana Government’s Department of Information and Public Relations had a drama and music division, which created songs and dramas for the information and awareness of villagers. Additionally, he highlighted the career opportunities available for students in the department and shared key insights on conducting public meetings and conferences. Students were excited to witness the practical work of the office. The visit was organised by the head of the department, Lakha Singh, and Uma Sah.

Essay-writing contest at Dyal College

Karnal: Dyal Singh College, under the aegis of the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation & Technology (Department of Science & Technology, Panchkula, Haryana), organised a district-level science essay writing competition for undergraduate students for the session 2024-25. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from six colleges across the district, with 22 students showcasing their talent and passion for science. The panel of three judges from different districts evaluated the essays. The top 10 entries from the event will represent the district at the state-level science essay competition. Rajpal, officiating principal (department of geography), motivated the participants, emphasising the importance of such events in nurturing scientific curiosity and developing critical thinking skills.
