Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda has called upon the people to not renew the ‘licence’ of the BJP for another five years, but to cancel it forever.

He urged them to vote for the Congress and bring them back to power, alleging that the 10-year rule of the BJP had ruined Haryana.

“Haryana is number one in unemployment, crime, and deteriorating law and order. It has even surpassed Punjab in drug menace. The people of Haryana are fed up and ready for a change. The Congress is going to form the next government,” said Hooda, while canvassing for Congress candidate from the Nilokheri Assembly segment Dharampal Gonder in Taraori.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Hooda accused them of keeping the public tangled in bureaucratic hurdles like the portal system, and adding to their woes by introducing the Family ID and Property ID schemes.

The Rohtak MP also accused the BJP government of not providing jobs to youth, and said, “The youth are being forced to run from pillar to post for jobs. The government has failed miserably in providing permanent employment. Jobs were given only through the Kaushal Vikas Nigam or on a contractual basis, which do not secure the future of our youth.”

Talking about the plight of the farmers, Hooda said they were harassed during the BJP regime due to anti-farmers policies. “Farmers were forced to stage dharnas on the borders of Delhi for over a year. The government has failed to address the long-standing issues of the farmers. They are demanding a law ensuring procurement of crops on MSP,” he said.

Calling upon people to elect Gonder from Nilokheri, he said this election was to save Haryana.

The Rohtak MP said the state’s youth were being forced to seek employment abroad through risky and illegal “donkey routes”. “The youth have no future under this government. Their hopes have been shattered," he added.

He also talked about the Congress’s election manifesto, which promises 2 lakh jobs.

“The Congress is committed to solving the real problems of the people. We will bring employment, revive the state's economy, and ensure justice for the farmers and the youth of Haryana,” he said.
