The NDRI Graduates Alumni Association (NGAA), in collaboration with ICAR–National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), organised the 12th national seminar on “Globalisation of Indian Dairy Industry” on Saturday at the Dr D Sundaresan Auditorium, NDRI.

Padma Bhushan Dr RS Paroda, Chairman of Trust for Advancement of Agricultural Sciences (TAAS) in New Delhi, was the chief guest, while Dr HS Oberoi, Director, National Institute of Food Technology and Entrepreneurship Management and Dr C Anandharamakrishnan, CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, were key speakers. Experts discussed the dairy challenges related to production, processing and marketing. In his welcome address, Dr Dheer Singh, Director and Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-NDRI, highlighted NDRI’s pioneering contributions to the dairy sector. The seminar saw participation of over 400 delegates.

As part of the event, ‘Milkathon 2025’, a national-level research and business idea contest for students, was also organised. Team NDRI won the first prize, while the consolation prize was bagged by CDFST Raipur.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Dr. A. K. Agarwal by NGAA. Also, Dr. P. N. Raju, Senior Scientist, Dairy Technology Division, ICAR-NDRI, Karnal was honoured with the Best Teacher Award by NGAA.
