The deceased, identified as Ganesh, died after an altercation between youths and the police during a birthday party. The clash began when the police asked them to stop playing loud DJ music on the road late at night.

According to the police, they were attacked with stones when they tried to intervene. As the cops pursued the suspects on the rooftop, two boys reportedly jumped off out of fear. Ganesh, a Class 10 student, was seriously injured and later died in hospital.

His family refused to take the body and demanded action against the police. They alleged that police personnel beat Ganesh and pushed him off the roof.

A case has been filed at HTM police station based on Inspector Vinod's complaint. Four policemen were reportedly injured, and several individuals have been named in the FIR.

Hisar Mayor Praveen Popli met the victim's family and promised a fair investigation.
