Meo BJP leader and former MLA from Nuh Chaudhary Zakir Hussain has been appointed the national vice-president of BJP minority morcha.

The appointment has left the district BJP unit elated. A celebration was held to honour Hussain today in Nuh.

As per the party, the appointment is significant as it would ensure better communication of issues of state minorities including Meos to the Centre. Hussain is also the Chaudhary (social head) of all 36 communities of Mewat. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
