A speeding car driven by a government doctor crushed a four-year-old boy to death in Gurugram’s Surat Nagar. The police have arrested the driver and seized the car. An FIR was registered at the Rajendra Park Police Station.

According to the complaint filed by Jitendra Kumar, an autorickhaw driver, he was sitting in front of his house at around 4.30 pm on September 15 and his son Rishi was playing nearby. Suddenly, a speeding car hit Rishi, with the wheels passing over the body.

“As the driver sensed the child was seriously injured, he fled from the spot. I took my son to the government hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” Jitender said. The accused, Hitesh Sharma, was arrested on Friday.
