Officials informed the HSCCW Vice-President about the activities being carried out under the Ek Nayaab Kadam project for the upliftment of slum-dwelling and destitute children. Under the project, children from slum areas are provided free education, and are trained in sports and cultural activities.

Officials said efforts would be made to give a new direction to the lives of such children by making them self-reliant through education and skills. This project aims to induct 300 children in the first phase. Interacting with the children, Saini distributed clothes to them.

BJP district chief Mandeep Rana, HSCCW General Secretary Sushma Gupta and City Magistrate Pooja Kumari were among those present at the event.
