CIA team attacked in Nuh village, 4 cops injured

The villagers managed to rescue the suspect from custody. Seeing the situation getting out of control, the policemen fled. An FIR has been registered against the villagers.
The injured policemen were rushed to a government hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Two villagers are also reported to have been injured.
"The incident took place late on Monday evening. The team of Bichhor police station is taking action in the matter,” said Punhana DSP Jitender Rana.
This is the second attack on the police at Aminabad village within a month. A police team was attacked earlier, too, but the incident was resolved following the intervention of a local leader.
According to the police, the CIA team (Punhana) was searching for Riyaz, an accused in a cyber fraud case. On Monday evening, his location was traced to Aminabad and the CIA team reached the village. They apprehended Riyaz, who raised the alarm and the villagers began pelting the police with stones. The police managed to escape with Riyaz, but the villagers pursued them and freed the accused.
The CIA team informed the local police station, but when the police team reached the spot, the situation spiralled out of control, forcing the police personnel to flee.
Clashes between the police and villagers are not new in Nuh district. Recently, a Delhi Police team was attacked at Jamalgarh village, where they had gone to arrest a theft suspect. The villagers created a ruckus and were successful in freeing the accused.
