Varsha Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), conducted a surprise inspection of the drug de-addiction centre at the Civil Hospital in Panipat on Saturday.

The purpose of the visit was to review the quality of services being provided to patients undergoing de-addiction treatment, assess the functioning of the centre and ensure compliance with prescribed procedures.

During the inspection, the CJM-cum-Secretary examined the OPD register, attendance register and duty roster. She emphasised timely counselling, continued care for patients and the proper maintenance of treatment-related records.

CJM Sharma also interacted with counsellors and staff nurses, issuing necessary directions to improve service quality at the centre.

She stressed that patients undergoing de-addiction treatment must be provided with a compassionate environment and robust rehabilitation facilities. The staff assured her that they would work towards delivering improved services.
